“House Of The Dragon”: When Queens War, Dragons Weep.

With its massive success, “Game of Thrones” captured the hearts of millions with its fantasy world, enigmatic dragons, and intense battles for the throne. The prequel, “House of the Dragon,” also performed exceptionally well upon the release of its first season. It is the second TV series in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” franchise.

The series was released in 2022 with 10 episodes and is based on the book “Fire & Blood” by George R. R. Martin. The narrative focuses on the events that led to the downfall of House Targaryen and the war for succession, known as the ‘Dance of the Dragons.’ The story is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.”

The series gained popularity for its brilliant performances by the cast, their character development, the score by the remarkable Ramin Djawadi, and stunning visuals. Just five days after its premiere, the series was renewed for a second season, which is set to premiere on June 16, 2024. The pilot episode was watched by over 10 million viewers, marking the biggest figure in HBO’s history. The series won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series and three British Academy Television Craft Awards.

“House of the Dragon” is available to stream on HBO Max, Jio Cinema, and Prime Video.
