Season 3 of Bridgerton was released on May 16th, and with its release, it grasped the interest of the audience. The season follows Netflix’s two-part strategy to engage the audience for an extended period of time.
Season 3 focuses on the story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton and their budding romance. Penelope, after Colin’s return and his change in demeanor, decides to finally settle down and find a perfect lord. Colin, being a good friend, offers to help Penelope attract suitors. In doing so, the differences between them vanish, and they grow close. Additionally, the debutante Francesca also experiences highs and lows in her search for a suitor and struggles to engage with societal norms. The rekindling of Eloise and Penelope’s friendship is depicted, igniting hopes of them becoming friends again.
Part 1 of the season ends on a cliffhanger as Colin realizes that he is in love with Penelope and asks for her hand. The story will continue in Part 2 of the season. The season maintains the same allure as previous seasons, with lavish balls, opulent costumes and sets, and delightful scores of hit songs with a periodic touch.
